Following a life changing event 6 years ago
I decided to learn photography. I did a course bought a very good camera and some excellent lenses and booked a photographic safari through Namibia & Botswana. I could never have imagined the impact Africa and photography would have on my life to capture that moment in time and tell a story is magical. I returned to Africa a year later on my own to travel through South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya and Zanzibar. Seeing wild animals in their natural habitat is beyond words, elephants, lions, hippos, leopards, hyenas, springbok, zebras and many other wild things is life changing. The beauty of Africa the smell of the bush and the wonderful people you meet makes you want to keep going back.
All my photos are taken with passion. What you see is what I saw, none of my photos are changed or altered in any way, sometimes the colour is brought up as a lot of the photos are taken in the middle of the day in the hot sun when the light is very bright.
All my whale and dolphin photos are shot from Amaroo cruises in Forster.
